  • Class Activities:
    Our class activities = will=20 consist of weekly discussion of our current topic. Students are = expected=20 to post frequently and throughout the week for maximum credit. = Good=20 posts should be at least one paragraph and contain =93new=94 = information to=20 further the class discussion. For example, students can provide = insight,=20 relevant personal experience, web links,=20
  • Written Work:
    There will be six labs = with=20 reports and one short paper. The lab reports are to be done = after the=20 installation and running of the installed software. The report = should=20 include two screenshots which show that you have completed the=20 installation successfully and have run the specific task for = that=20 software. In the short paper you will write a policy for your=20 organization along with the justification for selecting the = policy. The=20 justification will be much longer than the actual policy.=20
  • Testing Information:
    The midterm and = exam will=20 be a combination of multiple choice, short answer, fill in the = blank=20 questions covering the content from the relevant chapters.The = midterm=20 will cover the first half of the course and the final the second = part of=20 the course (i.e. final is not cumulative; however, some = terminology in=20 earlier chapters might be used in the questions). =
Grade Calculation
Each Lab Report, short paper and the two exams will each be = worth 10%=20 of your grade, The discussions will also be worth 10%, making = 100%. If=20 wrtiting is an issue for you, please visit the Writing Center for = some=20 pointers to help improve your grade.
